But don’t fret if you weren’t able to make it this year—we’ve brought all the Mercedes-Benz news to you, so read on to see the future of this exciting brand!
The 2018 Mercedes-AMG® GT C Debuts
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of their performance-focused AMG® line, Mercedes-Benz debuted something truly exciting: the stylish new 2018 AMG® GT C Roadster. It’s a true evolution of a classic design, combining a Handcrafted AMG® 4.0L V8 Biturbo engine with a sleek new convertible body. The AMG® has long been beloved for the way it lets you feel the road like no other—with this new design, now you can feel the world whip by with equal aplomb. It’s a truly exciting development for the brand, and is sure to make waves when it arrives in Fall 2017.
The Mercedes-Benz Mountain
Model debuts are cool, but what really sets the Chicago Auto Show apart from other industry events are the indoor demonstrations—and Mercedes-Benz had one of the most thrilling ones at the show the Mercedes-Benz Mountain. This indoor demonstration track, designed to show off the impressive capability of their G-Class wagons, was made up of a series of incredibly steep inclines and declines (up to 42 degrees) that would make a mountain goat blush. Of course, as those who participated in the demonstration can attest, such terrain is no problem for the wheel locking differentials of the G-Class, which allows it to navigate these hills and valleys with incredible stability and poise.
